Active Winter Pattern Across the Central and Northwestern U.S.

An arctic frontal system in the central U.S. will bring locally strong winds, widespread snow, and some ice across the Plains to the Upper Midwest. Out west, a powerful low will bring heavy rain, up to 2 to 3 feet of mountain snow, and locally strong winds to portions of the Pacific Northwest and the northern Rockies.
