Bitter Wind Chills Across the Eastern States, with Lake Effect Snows Downwind of the Great Lakes

2018 begins with Arctic Air remaining entrenched east of the Continental Divide. Gusty winds will continue to produce bitter wind chills early this week. Temperatures warm slightly across the central and northern High Plains Tuesday, but will remain well below normal.
