Very warm and dry weather on tap today for most of NM. Winds will trend lighter than yesterday but still become breezy by the afternoon. A cold front entering far northeastern NM will focus a few showers and storms around Colfax and Union counties.

Low pressure developing along the west coast next week will draw moisture northward over New Mexico. A gradual increase in the coverage of showers and thunderstorms is expected. The greatest chances for rainfall will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
There will be a chance for showers and thunderstorms along and east of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains starting this afternoon and tonight.
