A slow moving upper low will continue to bring showers and thunderstorms to mainly eastern New Mexico this morning. Improving conditions are expected during the afternoon. Strong north winds will continue through the day across the northeast plains.
Another Pacific storm system and cold front will begin impacting the state Friday, with precipitation chances ramping-up late Friday night into Saturday. Winter storm impacts are possible, mainly across the Northern Mountains and Raton Ridge.
SKYWARN Spotter training classes are free and open to anyone who has an interest in learning about severe weather in eastern New Mexico. A class is currently scheduled in Clovis on Thursday, March 30th from 6-8:30pm.
