High pressure will bring sunny skies and milder temperatures to northern and central New Mexico today. High temperatures will be near to slightly below normal south of I-40 and mainly above normal to the north.
A little warmer Saturday with highs near to above average. Westerly breezes developing in the afternoon across the East Central Plains.
A winter weather system will approach the region this Sunday. Precipitation chances are trending upwards especially over southern NM, however the jury is still out for specific impacts from this system.
Temperatures will be more variable the next 7 days as an active weather pattern attempts to develop over the southwest U.S.
