Very cold temperatures with freezing drizzle and fog over eastern NM will create hazardous travel conditions tonight and Tuesday morning. Gap winds in the Rio Grande Valley will gusts up to 45 mph at times below canyons.
A winter weather advisory is in effect for parts of northeastern NM through early this morning.
Near record high temperatures are expected over eastern NM Friday. Much of the state will be 10 to 20 degrees above normal. West winds will be windy for eastern NM.
Frigid wind chills expected at sunrise Tuesday. The coldest temperatures will be across eastern NM where values fall to between -10 and 0 degrees at 7am.
