Widespread showers and thunderstorms through midnight, especially south of Interstate 40. Rain diminishing late tonight, and ending in the west.
Southwest winds will increase Friday afternoon. Areas west of the Continental Divide and across the northeast plains will see the strongest winds with gusts up to 40 mph possible.
Northwest winds will usher in colder air Saturday. The strongest winds will occur from Farmington to Albuquerque and Clines Corners where gusts near 35 mph are expected.
