A backdoor cold front will move across eastern New Mexico today. Though temperatures behind the front will be 5 to 10 degrees cooler, high temperatures in the eastern plains will still be above normal. North-northeast winds in the eastern plains will range from 15 to 25 mph this afternoon. Winds across the rest of central and northern New Mexico will be less than 15 mph.
Dry with occasional high clouds and mostly light winds on Wednesday. Highs will be near to above average.
