Sunny sky, light winds and above average temperatures are on tap areawide today.
An upper low will spin off some high clouds over southwestern NM tonight. Overall, tonight will be quiet with lows in the single digits and teens in northern and western NM. Central and eastern NM will see lows in the 20s, with some low 30s in southeastern NM. Valley areas like Corrales, Los Lunas, Moriarty, and Estancia will drop into the teens.

The latest NWS weather models suggest a dry weather pattern can be expected across New Mexico for at least a week. If this verifies, it would push the ongoing Albuquerque dry spell without measurable precipitation into the Top 15 longest stretches on record (since 1891).
As of Dec. 9th, the current dry spell at Albuquerque reached 65 consecutive days. This is the 19th longest streak since records began in 1891. There is near zero chance for precipitation at Albuquerque through next week.
Persistence rules the three day outlook with above normal temperatures and some patchy high clouds.
