Storms will generally move toward the east or southeast at 10 to 15 mph. Large hail, damaging wind and heavy downpours can be expected. Another active day is expected Monday, especially east of the central mountain chain.
An active thunderstorm pattern can be expected today and tonight. Strong to severe storms will be possible mainly during the afternono and evening east of the Continental Divide to the high plains of eastern New Mexico to include the Rio Grande Valley.
Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible again on Monday, namely from the Continental Divide to the central mountain chain with storms also pushing into the eastern plains of the state. Temperatures will remain 5 to to 10 degrees below normal in the eastern plains of NM while readings remain seasonal in the central and western portions of the state.
