Thunderstorms persist across eastern NM ahead of a cold front. Storms may bring hail, strong and gusty winds and brief heavy rain. Strong northerly winds are also expected behind the front.
A backdoor cold front will slide down the Eastern Plains and provide windy conditions and cooler temperatures compared to last night. A few strong to severe storms are likely across the East Central and Southeast Plains.
Dry and breezy to windy west with little change in temperatures. Cooler central and east with isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms. Highs ranging from 5 to 15 degrees below normal east to near normal far west.
