Overview

A long duration snow event developed across the region during the early evening hours of Thursday, December 15th and continued at times through Saturday afternoon, December 17th. Total snowfall during this period ranged from 4 to 8 inches, with bitterly cold air arriving Saturday night into Sunday as the storm departed.

Morning temperatures on Sunday ranged from around -10 F to as low as -30, with wind chill readings in the -25 to -45 range.
