For today, look for a cool start with sunny skies and daytime high temperatures warming into the upper 50s to the middle 60s.
For tonight, conditions will not be quite as cold. Skies will be mostly clear early, with increasing clouds through the night from west to east. Rain showers are expected to move in toward sunrise. Overnight low temperatures will range from the upper 30s far northeast to the lower to middle 40s elsewhere.
Rain shower coverage will increase from west to east during the morning on Monday. Some thunderstorms will be possible during the afternoon across the south. Daytime high temperatures will range from the upper 50s to the middle 60s north to the upper 60s to the lower 70s in the south.
The best timing for chances of strong to severe storms will be Wednesday afternoon and evening along and ahead of an approaching front.
