It lifted briefly, then touched down again near Baufield before lifting and dissipating. Three houses were damaged, a barn was destroyed, and power lines were downed. A number of large trees were snapped or uprooted. Several of which blocked Alabama Highway 49.

A service station was severely damaged, several houses were partially unroofed, a cinder block garage was demolished, and several other houses sustained minor damage. Numerous tree and power line damage.
