...Temperatures and Precipitation so far this January...

Through January 18th, the average temperature at Caribou of 4.9
degrees was 5.6 degrees below normal. It has been the coldest
start to January since 2009.

So far this January there have been a total of 13 nights with a
low temperature below zero. On average, during the entire month
of January there are 16 nights when the temperature drops below
zero.  

A total of 13 inches of snow has been observed so far this January at
Caribou, which is just 1.6 inches below normal. For the 2014-15
winter season there has been a total of 68.9 inches of
snow, which is 19.2 inches above normal.

At Bangor, the average temperature so far this month of 12.4
degrees is 4.7 degrees below normal. It has been the coldest start
to the month of January (through Jan 18th) since 2009.

There have been 7 nights when the temperature has fallen below
zero. During the entire month of January there are 9 nights on
average when the temperature drops below zero.

So far this January there has been a total of 10.4 inches of snow
at Bangor, which is just 9 tenths of an inch below average. For
the 2014-15 winter season there has been a total of 43.3 inches of
snow, which is 15.2 inches above normal.
