• Monday, Oct 20, 9-11am @ Fort Fairfield Town Office
• Tuesday, Oct 21, 9-11am @ Island Falls Town Office

The presentation will be an all-encompassing discussion on river ice and ice jams. We will cover the hows, whys, and wheres of river ice formation, ice break up, and ice jams. In addition, we will discuss flood safety, NWS services, and where to find current river and snow conditions around the state.

The purpose of these sessions is to educate people on what to look for in the spring, warning signs of flooding, and indications of ice melt and movement.

These are being held in conjunction with Aroostook County Emergency Management.

Although these are intended for Town Managers, Public Works, EMA Directors, etc, they are open to the public as well.
