NWS Kansas Co-Sponsors Governor's Lightning Safety Week Proclamation



On June 10, 2003, at the state capitol building in Topeka, KS, Governor Kathleen Sebelius signed a state proclamation designating June 22-28, 2003, as Lightning Safety Awareness Week in Kansas. NWS offices in Kansas partnered with the Kansas Emergency Management agency and local American Red Cross chapters to develop the proclamation.
