5 DAY ICE DISCUSSION...

A RIDGE WILL BE OVER THE GREAT LAKES TONIGHT AND THEN DRIFT TO THE
EAST COAST ON SUNDAY. A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OVER WESTERN CANADA WILL
MOVE OVER THE NORTHERN PLAINS ON SUNDAY AND THEN MOVE INTO THE UPPER
MISSISSIPPI VALLEY EARLY NEXT WEEK AND EVENTUALLY INTENSIFY INTO A
STRONG STORM AS IT MOVES SLOWLY THROUGH THE WESTERN LAKES TUESDAY
NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY. LITTLE MOVEMENT OF THE ICE IS EXPECTED EVEN
WHEN THE WINDS INCREASE NEXT WEEK.

TEMPERATURES WILL BE NORMAL TO ABOVE NORMAL FOR THE WEEKEND AND THEN
ABOVE NORMAL TO MUCH ABOVE NORMAL FOR MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.
THESE TEMPERATURES WILL RESULT IN LITTLE ICE GROWTH IN THE SMALLER
BAYS AROUND LAKES SUPERIOR AND HURON AND AROUND GREEN BAY. NO ICE
FORMATION WILL OCCUR ON LAKE ERIE THROUGH NEXT WEEK.
