5 DAY ICE DISCUSSION...
HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE WESTERN GREAT LAKES WILL SHIFT TO THE EASTERN 
LAKES BY WEDNESDAY EVENING. LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE OVER THE WESTERN 
LAKES EARLY THURSDAY AND THEN MOVE EAST ACROSS THE REMAINING LAKES 
BY EARLY FRIDAY.  ANOTHER STRONG AREA OF ARCTIC HIGH PRESSURE WILL 
BUILD OVER THE REGION BEHIND THE LOW. ON SATURDAY THE HIGH WILL BE 
CENTERED OVER THE UPPER OHIO VALLEY.

SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST WINDS UNDER 20 KNOTS WILL CONTINUE ON LAKE 
SUPERIOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.  WINDS WILL BECOME EASTERLY ON 
LAKE MICHIGAN OVERNIGHT AND WILL RETURN TO THE SOUTH BY DAYBREAK 
WEDNESDAY.  NORTHERLY FLOW ON THE REMAINING LAKES TONIGHT WILL 
BECOME SOUTHERLY FROM WEST TO EAST BEGINNING TUESDAY NIGHT.  SPEEDS 
MOST OF THE TIME WILL BE 15 TO 20 KNOTS OR LESS SO ICE MOVEMENT 
SHOULD MINIMAL.

TEMPERATURES ON THE NORTHERN LAKES WILL AVERAGE ABOVE NORMAL THROUGH 
THURSDAY AND THEN BE BELOW NORMAL BOTH FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. BELOW 
NORMAL TEMPERATURES ON THE REMAINING LAKES TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY 
WILL BECOME NEAR NORMAL ON THURSDAY.  READINGS WILL AVERAGE BELOW TO 
MUCH BELOW NORMAL ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. MAINLY MODERATE ICE GROWTH 
IS EXPECTED THROUGH MIDWEEK BUT RAPID ICE GROWTH IS EXPECTED FOR THE 
END OF THE WEEK AND WEEKEND.
