BENTON COUNTY...

WINDS GUSTED TO AN ESTIMATED 70 MPH TUESDAY NIGHT AS SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS ROLLED THROUGH BENTON COUNTY. A 67 MPH WIND WAS
RECORDED AT THE LAW ENFORCEMENT CENTER IN VINTON. BROKEN TREE
BRANCHES WERE STREWN ACROSS NEARBY AREAS. AT THE VINTON AIRPORT...
METAL HANGAR DOORS WERE RIPPED OFF BY THE WIND. CORN CROPS ACROSS
NORTHERN PARTS OF THE COUNTY SUSTAINED SPOTTY DAMAGE.


STRAIGHT LINE WIND SPEEDS WITH THIS EVENT WERE EQUIVALENT TO THOSE OF
A STRONG F0 TORNADO...HOWEVER NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.
