With less moisture in the area, only a few thunderstorms are expected to develop overnight. Periods of moderate to briefly heavy rainfall may occur near storms. Winds will be light with partly cloudy to mostly clear skies. Temperatures will be seasonal with mid to upper 60s across the lowlands with 50s in the mountains.
A standard summertime pattern of mainly isolated thunderstorms will occur in the afternoon and continue into the evening hours. Storm frequency and rain amounts will be higher over the mountains and for areas east of El Paso. A few storms may produce locally heavy rainfall with minor flooding along drainages possible. Winds will be light and mainly from the south at 5 to 10 mph under partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will range from the lower to mid 90s across the lowlands with 70s in the mountains.
