High pressure centered well to our east will slide further away through this afternoon. Tropical storm Hanna is then forecast to track up the east coast starting late tonight and continue through Saturday. Hanna is forecast to be increasing in forward speed as it moves northward. The storm will then quickly move well to our northeast on Sunday, allowing a cold front to sweep through our area early on. A weak area of high pressure will then follow for late Sunday and Monday, with a cold front scheduled to move through on Tuesday. NJ State Climatologist at Rutgers University's Agricultural Experiment Station, CoCoRaHS
(Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow network) is a community-based precipitation observing
network that has rapidly expanded throughout a number of states.
