A strong cold front will cross the area tonight. Ahead of the front, showers and a few thunderstorms are possible in north Georgia this afternoon and evening. In addition, gusty southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph, will develop during the afternoon. Gusty winds will continue overnight with localized gusts up to 40 mph may be possible, especially in the higher elevations of north Georgia. A Wind Advisory has been issued accordingly for along and north of a line from Franklin to Peachtree City to Athens to Danielsville. Much colder air will filter in behind the front and a Freeze Watch has been issued accordingly Sunday night into Monday morning for north Georgia and portions of central Georgia. The main area is along and north of a LaGrange to Fort Valley to Louisville line.
