A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 8 PM this evening for north and portions of central GA. Widespread 1-3 inches of rain has already fell in the last 48 hours across north GA. An additional 1-2 inches are possible today, with higher amounts expected with training showers and thunderstorms. This could produce flash flooding given the saturated state of the ground. Stay tuned to local media, weather radio, and other reliable weather sources for further information should flooding occur. Remember, turn around, don't drown!
