April 26, 2017 Snowfall Summary

A weather system moved into northeastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota Tuesday evening, bringing accumulating snow and ice to parts of the region through Wednesday night. Our weather fortunes are changing with sunshine for all but areas around Lake of the Woods into the Red Lake region of northern MN. Warmer today all areas with winds a tad lighter. Clear and calm tonight with lows below freezing. Saturday will be sunny with light winds and highs in the 50s. While these temperatures are still a bit below normal, they are a huge improvement over the past few days. A large storm system moving toward southern Minnesota into western Wisconsin will spread clouds and rain and snow into west central, central and into northeastern MN overnight Sunday night into Monday. Some accumulations likely.
