Skies will be mostly cloudy this morning and there will be patchy fog across the west and areas of fog elsewhere. Some dense fog is likely, especially parts of Central Texas. An area of showers that developed across Southwest Texas overnight is expected to spread northeast into North and Central Texas this morning. It will be cloudy this afternoon with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will range from near 60 northeast to the lower 70s southeast and northwest. Southeast winds at 5 to 10 mph early will become south at 10 to 20 mph this afternoon.
Here are your weather headlines for North and Central TX for the upcoming week (2/19-2/22).
Rain chances will increase through the day on Tuesday. A few embedded showers and a few embedded thunderstorms are expected. Severe weather is NOT anticipated at this time. Rain chances will slowly shift to East and Central TX on Wednesday. Rain chances will diminish Wednesday evening into the day on Thursday. Rainfall amounts of over 2 inches will be possible, especially in the orange and yellow shaded areas of the map. Check back to the forecast for details as rain amounts will likely change!
It will be cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight and Monday. Lows will be in the mid 50s northeast to the mid 60s across parts of Central Texas. Highs Monday will range from the lower 70s northeast to the lower 80s northwest. Winds will be southerly at 15 to 25 mph Monday with some gusts over 25 mph likely along and west of the I-35 corridor during the afternoon. If the cap breaks, a few strong storms will be possible Monday afternoon and evening.
