...TORNADOES CONFIRMED IN NORTHEAST GEORGIA AND NORTHWEST SOUTH 
CAROLINA...

THE GREENVILLE-SPARTANBURG OFFICE OF THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE
HAS COMPLETED SURVEYS ON TWO TORNADOES THAT OCCURRED SATURDAY.

THE FIRST TORNADO WAS ALONG AN INTERMITTENT TRACK FROM SOUTHWEST
OF FRANKLIN SPRINGS IN FRANKLIN COUNTY GEORGIA TO JUST SOUTH OF ROYSTON 
IN HART COUNTY GEORGIA. WINDS WERE ESTIMATED TO BE BETWEEN 75 AND
80 MPH ALONG THE TRACK OF THE STORM.

THE SECOND TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN SIX MILES SOUTHEAST OF DUE WEST IN
NORTHEAST ABBEVILLE COUNTY SOUTH CAROLINA. WINDS AGAIN WERE 
ESTIMATED TO BE BETWEEN 75 AND 80 MPH BASED ON THE DAMAGE FOUND
ALONG THE TRACK.

BOTH STORMS WERE RATED AS EF-0 USING THE NEW ENHANCED FUJITA
SCALE.
