Local Weather History For February 17th...
Snow showers moved across Southeast Texas on this date in 1973. Most locations only received snow flurries but Houston
Intercontinental Airport measured 1.4 inches of snow. In 1960, an F-2 tornado touched down near the Katy Freeway and
Mason Rd. The tornado was about 100 yards wide and had a track length of about 5 miles. Three people were injured during
the storm and the tornado dissipated bFore reaching Highway 6.
