Mostly to partly cloudy skies are expected today with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing toward afternoon. The best chance for rain will be along a weak trough axis from about Madisonville to Sugar Land.
A cold front will approach Southeast Texas late tonight or early Sunday. The front will trigger showers and thunderstorms across most of Southeast Texas. Most areas will received less than a half inch of rain. The front will usher in cooler temperatures for the first half of next week.
