Here is Today's outlook.
A cold front will move across Southeast Texas today. Some rain is expected to develop behind the front, mainly tonight through Friday morning, with the higher chances near the coast and offshore. Much better rain chances come over the weekend as a storm system moves across the area. Highest rain chances are expected Saturday evening through Sunday morning. Strong or severe storms and some locally heavy rainfall might be possible with this system.
2017 trails 2015 by less than an inch to become the wettest year on record. It's also the second time in three years that the annual rainfall has exceeded 100 inches.
