On the morning of Sunday August 17...Captain James Ezell took pictures of a
waterspout just off of Carolina Beach. In this picture...the circulation extends
all the way down to the water. The debris/water cloud is barley visible if you
look carefully.
In this picture the circulation remains intact. However...an outflow or surge is
elongating the rotation.
The circulation is further elongated in this final picture...but still extends to
the surface. The debris/water cloud can be seen if you look carefully.
