National Weather Service United States Department of Commerce

Have you ever been interested in weather? Do you ever wonder how much rain has fallen or what the current temperature is outside your house or business? Would you like to learn more about what our organization does on a daily basis with weather information?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then being a National Weather Service Cooperative Weather Observer is a program you would like to join. A Cooperative Weather Observer is the OFFICIAL observer and observation for their local community.

This program is free to join, and we provide all of the necessary equipment to measure precipitation (all locations), temperature (many locations), and river levels (few locations).
