January 23, 2012 Central Indiana Severe Weather

A line of strong to severe thunderstorms swept across central Indiana during the early morning hours of January 23, bringing damaging winds, heavy rain, and small hail. These storms formed well ahead of a strong cold front, which moved through the area later in the morning. Ahead of the front, temperatures warmed from the 30s the afternoon of January 22nd to the upper 40s and lower 50s by midnight on the 23rd.
