On June 27, for the first time in over a decade, the system that produces the broadcast programs for NOAA All Hazards Radio was upgraded. A new computer system is being used to generate audio recordings of the forecasts, observations, watches, and warnings that are routinely heard over the air. The actual broadcast programming will remain unchanged, but listeners may notice that the messages are being read in a different voice. The previous voices of "Tom" and "Donna" have been replaced by "Paul".

If you notice any odd pronunciations by the new voice, or have any questions, please let us know.

Again, the content and coverage areas of the broadcast did not change.
