As a cold front moves through the area today, expect some showers and thunderstorms to develop mid-late afternoon, mainly along and south of the I-20 corridor. With high amounts of moisture south of the front & the saturated soils, heavy downpours & anymore excessive amounts could lead to localized flooding, especially along and south of the Highway 84 corridor. A flash flood watch continues for the Pine Belt through 7PM.
Showers may develop this afternoon ahead of a front moving through the area today. Highs will be in the mid 80s.
Showers will dissipate in the evening timeframe. Overnight temps will range from the mid 60s to near 70.
In the wake of the front expect our chances of showers and thunderstorms to be across the south half of the region on Sunday.
