Gusty winds will develop behind a cold front Tuesday. Northwesterly winds could gust up to 30-35 mph in the Delta region, especially from late morning through the afternoon. These winds could create problems causing downed limbs and could create difficulties for high profile vehicles.
The combination of low humidity near critical values, gusty winds, and recent dry weather will make for increasing fire weather danger Tuesday, especially during the afternoon. Persons are strongly encouraged to use extra caution when burning during these conditions. Make sure to heed local burn bans.
It will be cool and clear tonight with low temperatures near normal in the upper 40s to the lower 50s.
Tuesday will be warm, sunny and dry. Temperatures will be cooler than normal with highs in the upper 60s to around 70 degrees, some 5- 8 degrees below normals.
