Increasing heat stress is possible today as heat & humidity will help heat indices rise to around 105 degrees this afternoon, mainly for the ArkLaMiss Delta region. Make sure to stay hydrated, limit outdoor strenuous activities & take breaks.
High moisture & slow moving storms will bring the risk for locally heavy downpours & heavy rainfall today. With some soils still saturated from rainfall the past week or so, some flash flooding is possible. Remember, turn around don't drown!
Increasing heat stress is possible again on Thursday as heat & humidity will help heat indices rise to around 105 degrees this afternoon, mainly for the areas along & west of the I-55 corridor. Make sure to stay hydrated, limit outdoor strenuous activities & take breaks.
Hot & humid afternoon, especially in the ArkLaMiss Delta, is expected today. Expect numerous showers & storms possible, with lessd in the Delta. Expect high temperatures in the low 90s with increasing heat & humidity.
Lingering showers and thunderstorms will continue through the early evening hours before dissipating. Low temperatures will be in the mid 70s.
