The potential for heavy downpours from Friday into the weekend raises concerns for additional flash flood potential, especially over the Delta region where the ground is soaked.
There will be a threat for severe weather this Saturday evening through Sunday morning as a storm system moves across the area. The main concern will be in the Slight Risk area where the greater potential for damaging wind gusts and a few tornadoes should exist.
Strong south winds are expected across most of the forecast area on Saturday, with wind gusts up to 35 to 40 mph possible during the afternoon. Small tree limbs may be blown down, and driving will be more difficult for high profile vehicles on west to east roads.
