Breezy conditions will develop this afternoon and continue into the early evening. Southerly winds will gust from 30 to 35 mph.
Breezy conditions will again develop during the day on Saturday and continue through Saturday evening. Southerly wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph will be possible, especially through the Delta region and across northeast Louisiana and southeast Arkansas.
Heavy rainfall is expected to accompany thunderstorms Saturday night through Sunday. The possibility of heavy rain over short periods of time will lead to the potential for flash flooding or river flooding.
Severe weather will be possible across the forecast Saturday night though Sunday as a cold front brings a line of thunderstorms through the region. Damaging wind gusts, hail, heavy rainfall, and a few tornadoes are possible with these storms. Please continue to monitor later outlooks for updates.
It will be warmer, breezy and humid today as a warm front moves back north of the area this morning. A few morning showers may accompany the warm front.
It will be warmer than normal tonight with a few showers and breezy conditions in the west.
