Dangerous heat looks to increase across the ArkLaMiss Wednesday - Friday. Heat index values will range from 103-108 degrees with warmest values expected in the Delta. Heat stress and heat related illnesses will be possible. Stay hydrated and take breaks!
Only isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms are expect today, mainly limited to eastern portions of Mississippi. Elsewhere, skies will be mostly clear to partly cloudy. Heat will build over all locations, especially in portions of the Arklamiss Delta where a heat advisory is in effect.
A few isolated thunderstorms will be possible early this evening in far eastern Mississippi. Otherwise, expect mostly clear to partly cloudy skies with low temperatures by daybreak ranging from the warm and muggy low to mid 70s.
Any isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms will be limited to far east and southeastern Mississippi. Otherwise, expect slightly hotter temperatures with peak heat index values peaking at least up around 105 degrees in most locations.
