High moisture will move into the area by early next week from remnants of a tropical system over the northern Gulf of Mexico that will slowly move northeast. Multiple rounds of heavy rain are possible, especially by early next week, which will bring the potential for flash flooding. This event remains several days away, so amounts & threats may change! Stay tuned for further updates.
Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will remain possible, mainly this evening, as a front sinks southward into the area. Slightly cooler air will begin to move into northern portions of the area overnight, with lows in the 60s in some areas.
As a front stalls across the area, slightly cooler and drier conditions will exist across the northern part of the area. Isolated to scattered storms will remain possible over the southern half of the area.
