Dangerous heat looks to increase across the central & western portions of the region around late week, Thursday - Friday. This dangerous heat will be confined mainly along & west of the I-55 and Natchez Trace corridor. Heat indices will get near to above 105 degrees in the area. Heat stress and heat related illnesses will be possible. Stay hydrated and take breaks!
Isolated shower & thunderstorm activity has come to an end. Conditions will continue to be warm and muggy with decreasing clouds.
Rain & storm chances will decrease and gradually shift to the southeast on Wednesday while heat and humidity ramps upwards. High temperatures will generally be in the low-mid 90s, although some mid-upper 90s are not out of the question in portions of the Arklamiss Delta.
