Severe weather is possible late Saturday afternoon through the evening, especially across the ArkLaMiss Delta. Damaging winds, quarter size hail and an isolated tornado is possible. Stay tuned for further updates.
Severe weather will be possible across the forecast area on Sunday as a cold front brings a line of thunderstorms through the region. Damaging wind gusts, hail, heavy rainfall, and a few tornadoes are possible with these storms. Please continue to monitor later outlooks for updates.
Heavy rainfall is expected to accompany thunderstorms on Sunday. The possibility of heavy rain over short periods of time will lead to the potential for flash flooding or river flooding.
Gusty winds will continue during the day on Saturday and continue through Saturday evening, mainly between 9AM until around 7PM. Sustained winds of 20-25mph with southerly wind gusts up to 40-45mph will be possible across the entire ArkLaMiss region. This could make for hazardous travel in high profile vehicles, especially on east to west roads.
2 to 4 inches of rain will be possible over the weekend with localized heavier amounts ranging from 4 to 6 inches also possible.
