The potential for heavy downpours from Friday into the weekend raises concerns for additional flash flood potential, especially over the Delta region where the ground is soaked.
There will be a threat for severe weather this weekend as a storm system moves across the area, especially Saturday night into early Sunday. The main concern will be in the slight risk area where the greater potential for damaging wind gusts and a few tornadoes should exist.
Heavy showers and some storms will continue over the northwest part of the region this morning, with rain chances dropping through the afternoon. Elsewhere, mostly cloudy and record warm conditions are expected.
