Severe Weather and Flash Flooding Expected This Weekend

There will be a threat for severe weather Saturday evening through Sunday morning as a storm system moves across the area. The greatest area of concern will be along and north of I-20, where the best potential for damaging wind gusts and tornadoes should exist. A limited threat for flash flooding will exist today over much of the area today through tonight as periods of heavy rain continue. The heaviest rainfall should occur mainly this afternoon and evening. Additional rainfall totals of one to two inches on average are expected, with locally higher amounts possible.
