A few strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible through the afternoon today, mainly for western and south-western areas. The main risk with any severe storms will be hail up to quarter size with some threat for high wind gusts.
Severe thunderstorms will move into the area from the northwest late Tuesday night into Wednesday ahead of a cold front that will move through the region. At this time, damaging winds and hail will be the primary concern but a tornado cannot be ruled out. Check back for the latest updates as timing or impacts may change.
Rain chances will continue to diminish through the afternoon. Some mix of thunderstorms are also possible for some areas, mainly the northwest and far south. Highs continue to hold cooler than expected and will range in the 60s.
