More showers and thunderstorms will move into the region from the north tonight. With the saturated soils, anymore excessive amounts could lead to localized flooding.
At least isolated severe storms will remain possible in many areas tonight. The main risk will be damaging wind gusts although tornadoes can not be ruled.
High rain chances will continue today as widespread tropical moisture remains over the region. Locally heavy rainfall may lead to localized flooding.
Rain showers and thunderstorms, some possibly severe, will continue to move across the area tonight as the remnants of Cindy lingers around the region. A warm, tropical airmass will keep temperatures warmer than normal overnight.
As a cold front moves into the area, expect showers and a few thunderstorms across the forecast area on Saturday. Some locally heavy downpours are possible, especially across the southern half of the area. Highs will top out in the low-mid 80s, some 5-10 degrees below normal.
