High temperatures will combine with high moisture to result in heat index values between 103-109 in the afternoon hours again Sunday.
A Limited Threat for heat stress will be possible Monday for locations mainly west of Interstate 55. A combination of heat and humidity will result in peak heat index values around 105 degrees.
Mainly isolated showers and storms are possible around the region this evening, especially south of Interstate Twenty. Otherwise, skies will be partly cloudy with lows in the muggy low to mid 70's.
Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms under partly cloudy skies will be the rule Sunday with heat index values remaining very high. Maximum temperatures will top out in the mid 90s in most cases.
The eclipse outlook for Monday the 21st shows seasonal temperatures and slight chances for showers and storms. Skies will be partly cloudy.
