A tight pressure gradient between a High off the southeast US coast and deep low pressure over the Southern Plains will allow for windy conditions from Friday into Sunday. Sustained south winds will range from 15 to 25 mph with gusts between 30 and 40 mph. By late Sunday into Monday, a stalled frontal boundary to the north will clash with rich Gulf moisture to produce showers and thunderstorms. Some of the stronger storms will have the potential to produce heavy rainfall in a short period of time.
Partly sunny, warm, and muggy. High temperatures will be in the lower to mid 80s, except upper 70s near the coast. Winds will be mainly from the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.
Becoming mostly cloudy and muggy. Lows in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph.
Partly sunny, warm, muggy, and breezy. Highs in the lower to mid 80s, except upper 70s near the coast. Winds from the southeast at 15 to 20 mph and gusty.
Very warm temperatures and muggy conditions can be expected during the weekend with high pressure off to the east helping to bring southerly flow off the Gulf of Mexico. A series of low pressure systems over the Southern Plains will help increase the south winds with conditions becoming windy for Saturday and Sunday. Rain chances will enter the forecast late Sunday as a frontal system to the north will clash with rich Gulf moisture. The unsettled weather will continue into early next week.
