Flood Threat Continues From Remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy

The remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy will move into the Lower Mississippi Valley through Friday. Very heavy rainfall, flash flooding and severe storms will impact the Texas and Central Gulf Coasts today. The flood threat shifts to the Tennessee and Ohio Valleys Friday. Cindy weakens to a tropical depression as it continues inland. Local impacts still continue with the potential for isolated tornades and heavy rain within tropical bands. Coastal flooding of 1 to 3 feet is ongoing along the coast. Wind gusts 25 to 35 mph, particularly near coastal locations.
