Another round of heavy rainfall expected in the South

A Flash Flood Watch will be in effect through midnight tonight for all of southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi. An additional 2 to 3 inches of rain, with locally higher amounts, can be expected through this evening. This may also produce new rises on area rivers.
A frontal boundary moving into the area will provide a focus for the development of numerous showers and thunderstorms today and again on Sunday. Drier weather is expected to move into the area early next week.
