A Marginal Risk of severe weather is expected today across portions of southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi, primarily to the north of Interstates 10 and 12. The primary threats will be large hail and damaging wind gusts. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. Conditions should improve this evening.
An upper level disturbance will bring scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms to southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi today. The system will move out of the area quickly and Mardi Gras should be dry for much of the area. Another round of thunderstorms will be possible on Wednesday. Highs today will be in the middle and upper 70s, and near 80 for Tuesday and Wednesday.
